Funded, initially, from Kickstarter, Elite: Dangerous is the latest, 4th incarnation of the Elite Franchise. It's a massively multiplayer living galaxy modelled on real data and extrapolated procedurally.

Start small, in a Sidewinder, play how you want; be it as a pirate, a miner, a bounty hunter, a trader, a freelancer. Work for the Empire, the Fedaration, the Alliance, or just do your own thing.

With a growing range of ships and equipemt there's no limit to how you build up your fleet and career.
